Antique Caucasian Kazak Rug 2.34m x 1.18m

A beautiful antique Kazak rug, hand woven circa 1890 in the Caucasus mountains in what is now Azerbaidjan. The design features six geometrical medallions on a petrol blue field enclosed by an ivory border of stylised flowers. Lovely wool quality and fabulous secondary colours.
Size: 2.34m x 1.18m (7ft 8in x 3'ft 10in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned. Small repair to centre field (see photos).
