Antique Chinese Pillar Rug 1.88m x 1.01m

RUG ADDICTION
A fabulous antique pillar rug, hand woven circa 1920 in China with a scrolling dragon design on a salmon field and great secondary colours, particularly the combination of aubergine, green and gold. These rugs were originally used for decorating pillars in temples throughout China.
Size: 1.88m x 1.01m (6ft 2in x 3ft 4in)
This rug is in very good, original condition with very little wear. The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned. Small, naive repair which was done some time ago (see photos).
