Early 20th Century Folk Art Leather Monkey Form
We are proud to offer a wonderfully tactile early 20th Century wooden form of a monkey covered in aged leather. Wonderfully simple detail, yet very life like with a look of curiosity and charm. The statue is carved with the makers name on the front and some detail in handwriting to the underneath is also just about visible (Handmade in leather D E Jackson MC) The statue has some lovely detail across its half-worn face, arms and legs. Perched on a circular form it’s a very tactile and decorative piece of English folk-art. It weights roughly a 1kg and is structurally secure in form showing a great aged leather patination across its surface

Condition: These items are completely solid in structure and form, wear across the leather surface is present with loss in sections, patination of age across the leather is also visible.
