A 18th century French provincial school oil on canvas interior scene, of a mischievous cat having a spot of lunch.

The cat appears to have a devilish persona with ruby red eyes and ears pricked.

The canvas is taught and stable, with heavy areas of decorative craqueleur, some areas of loss. A modern gilt and green frame has been added 111cm/56/2
