Artist Pigment Dispensing Cabinet

THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL
A quite remarkable pigment cabinet, with a century of paint build up and pigment residue

Possibly would of been housed in a modest colourmens or artists shop, more likely due to the sporadic build up of paint a artist studio.

The previous owner/artist has mixed paint and wiped the residue on the sides of the cabinet over time this has built up a thick skin covering almost all the extremities of the cabinet. This giving the piece of furniture a sculptural quality

There are 26 drawers all of them have reminants of pigments, a handful are full, in places some painted labels are visible but illegible.

The cabinet is constructed of pine and likely due to its weight pitch pine.
