Taxidermy, Hooded Crow

THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL
An early 20th century taxidermy specimen of a hooded crow on its original turned ebonised stand.

The specimen has a striking decaying appearance, and has lost a large amount if its feather retaining its hood, some flight feathers and tail. The feathers that remain are well attached and secure.

Some lettering and numerals are stamped in the base, possibly to coincide with a museum catalogue or taxidermists inventory
