Art Deco Cast Iron Panels

UK HERITAGE
These panels were made for Regis House, a site developed by the well-known property developer Rudolph Palumbo in 1933. Hinges are attached, the front has raised decoration, with the reverse being plain. Regis House was a ground-breaking office building occupying the prestigious corner site next to Wren’s “Monument” on the approaches to London Bridge. The exterior, lobbies and stairwells were lavishly decorated with polished iron and bronze details framed with Portoro marble pilasters. In the early 1990’s the building was demolished under the orders of Lord Palumbo, Rudolph Palumbo’s son. In excellent condition for their age, with minor surface rust. No losses or cracks. Weight 27 kg each.

We always have in stock a variety of architectural, fireplace and garden items.

UK Heritage is run by Ben Couchman.  Ben studied building Surveying at University, before establishing the business in 2006.

Ben focuses on decorative and functional architectural pieces, picking only the best pieces from private sources, dealers and everywhere in between. Searching throughout the UK and into Europe, Ben handpicks each and every item, selecting interesting pieces from the hundreds that he views each week.

Our impressive site in rural Herefordshire currently holds over 2,500 items.  Arranged around a courtyard, our site includes an 18th Century barn as well as three large modern warehouses.  We have dedicated showrooms displaying much of our extensive collection of unique and ever-changing architectural pieces.

We supply interior designers, architects, retailers and private clients across the world. Previous customers have included Cambridge and Oxford Universities, Claridge's and Warner Brothers.

In everything we do, we are mindful of our environmental and ethical responsibilities.  We do not sell any items containing ivory, tortoise shell or asbestos.
