18th Century Lambing Chair

18th century primitive welsh oak ‘lambing’ chair. Wales, Circa 1780. A nice example of a primitive wing armchair, often described as a lambing chair as similar variations were used in agricultural buildings, the wings keeping the wind off in drafty buildings and the oak being more robust than a fabric covered wing arm chair, this has a traditional strung seat, price includes an upholstered cushion in your choice of fabric.

National and worldwide shipping available, please enquire for a quotation.

Vagabond Antiques was founded by Joe Chaffer in 2015.  From an early age Joe was surrounded by his mothers love for all things antique, with her being an antiques dealer for 30 years, Joe certainly has antique dealing in his blood.

After a 15 year career in London with various Men's fashion brands and after taking the lead on multiple projects which incorporated using antique items to create bespoke shop-fit's for menswear concessions, Joe really got the taste for using decorative antiques to create unique interiors.

Joe's focus is now solely on finding beautiful and intriguing items for the home and garden.

Vagabond opened it's first shop in July 2017 in Fittleworth Village, West Sussex, just a 5 minute drive from the well established 'antique' market town of Petworth and close to the historic town of Arundel.

Vagabond Antiques is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm and other times by appointment.
