Queen Anne Armchair

An Original Queen Anne walnut wingback armchair. England, Circa 1690. Seat Depth: 53cm Seat Width: 53cm. A good example of an original Queen Anne armchair, this chair dates from the late 17th Century – so we have restored & restrengthened the frame work inside and the back legs have been restored many years ago however the all important wonderfully patinated walnut front legs are where you really get a sense of the age of this chair. It has a generous scale for a chair of this period which can usually be quite narrow, stands very well, we have chosen to re-cover in a faded patterned velvet by Osborne & Little, if this is not to your taste we will happily re-cover this chair in a choice of fabric.

National and worldwide shipping available, please enquire for a quotation.

Vagabond Antiques was founded by Joe Chaffer in 2015.  From an early age Joe was surrounded by his mothers love for all things antique, with her being an antiques dealer for 30 years, Joe certainly has antique dealing in his blood.

After a 15 year career in London with various Men's fashion brands and after taking the lead on multiple projects which incorporated using antique items to create bespoke shop-fit's for menswear concessions, Joe really got the taste for using decorative antiques to create unique interiors.

Joe's focus is now solely on finding beautiful and intriguing items for the home and garden.

Vagabond opened it's first shop in July 2017 in Fittleworth Village, West Sussex, just a 5 minute drive from the well established 'antique' market town of Petworth and close to the historic town of Arundel.

Vagabond Antiques is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm and other times by appointment.
