Item Details

A very rare 19th-century French Gazebo. In surprisingly good condition considering age and use. Usually, these untreated metal structures perished over time however what saved this one was that it was painted and a lot of that original green paint remains intact today.

We have sympathetically restored some of the lower sections which being close to the ground needed to be replaced. However, 95% of the metalwork remains completely original.

The gazebo's substantial size means it would easily accommodate a 120cm round table inside and would therefore sit six. With vines or other climbing plants interweaving between the wall this item could be the major focal or centrepiece of any garden.

The whole structure has been treated by us to protect it from future weathering.

Minor scratches, nicks and scuffs consistent with age and use
No major losses, cracks or structural damage
Slight surface wear and variations in colour due to weathering
