A superb Bonheur du Jour attributed to Gillow

A superb kidney shaped Bonheur du Jour attributed to Gillow, in burl walnut with goncalo alves, cross grain moldings and inlaid with tulip-wood, king-wood and boxwood stringing and with fine ormolu mounts. The base is raised on cabroile legs and has five drawers, the upper section has two banks of three drawers and in the centre, a concealed drawer released by a discreet spring mechanism. The whole is in excellent condition and retains all its original elements. 1040mm high, 1170mm wide and 660mm deep. Circa 1860.
