A very large Chippendale period knee-hole desk

An impressive Chippendale period knee-hole desk in dense, figured Cuban mahogany. The desk is raised on bracket feet and has eight oak lined drawers with original Rococo handles and a central single door cupboard. The top drawer is fitted with a writing slide, ink well compartments and pen tray. The top has a double molded edge and is of decoratively figured mahogany. In very good, sympathetically restored condition. 850mm high, 1200mm wide and 590mm deep. Circa 1770.
