Perhaps Dovedale, painted on tin with a bowed glass reverse painted with a scene of three anglers. Within a pressed and gilded brass frame, circa 1800.

Dovedale’s picturesque scenery was popularised by the Romantic Movement and its ‘Princess of Rivers’ was first made famous for its fishing by writers Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton in 1653.
