The drum is glazed with curved glass panels set between slender glazing bars, surmounted by a bell-shaped crown of curved rods rising to a suspension loop, with acorn finials to the top rim and ball finials below. The lantern is generously lit by an eight-light cluster on a central stem, the scrolled arms with circular drip pans — giving far more light than the usual three- or four-light lantern of this form, and making it as suitable over a stairwell or hall table as in an entrance. Good recent wiring; supplied with chain and ceiling rose, the chain adjustable to suit the drop. Lantern body 90 cm high × 50 cm diameter; full drop as photographed 153 cm.
