A tall, flattened bottle vase by Marcello Fantoni (1915–2011), the body washed in an atmospheric blue-grey glaze with passages of exposed, iron-rich terracotta cut through the surface — the quiet, painterly manner that sits between his volcanic and colour-field work.


Signed to the base. Acquired directly from the Fantoni family, Florence. Mid-20th century. 32 × 13 × 10.5 cm.
