 Charming Mid-Century French Aubusson style tapestry.



With a design of an medieval museum design tapestry titled 'La Lecture' (The Reading). Depicted is a young man reading verses to the noblewoman he is courting. Busy with her work of spinning wool, a cat is playing with the weaving thread with a bird is perched above and rabbits below.



A richly detailed floral ground filled with symbolic plants and animals. This tapestry has been made by the screen printing method by hand, on a cotton foundation.
