Executed with confident palette-knife technique, the composition displays Ferber’s expressive handling of paint and her sensitivity to colour and texture. Signed lower right 'M. Ferber'. Presented in a giltwood frame.

Ferber eventually settled in Aigues-Vives, France, where she continued painting throughout her later life. Inscribed verso “11 Roses” and “M. Ferber”.
