Depicting clementines arranged in delicate paper wrapping beside a small vessel of deep violet blooms. Executed with soft, painterly brushwork against a warm tonal ground. Signed Marc Lavrand lower right and presented in its original gilt frame, the work retains a pleasing patina consistent with its age. The restrained palette and naturalistic lighting evoke the classic still life tradition associated with French and Continental studio painters of the period.
