Beautiful 19th Century Louis XVI Revival window seat or banquette.


With raised ends carved in the Neo-Classical style. Both ends featured an open carved flower filled basket suspended from a ribbon. Above one is a cabreta (French bagpipe) and to the other an artists palette with brushes, both with laurel leaves and bows. To the top of each end is a turned stretcher with carved acanthus to the centre.


In simple antique linen, this charming bench is ready for recovering or can be left as is.
