Impressive Signed Marble Bust - of renowned 19th century architect Sir George Gilbert Scott- by important Victorian era Italian sculptor Giovanni Fontana.

Fontana is also known for his 1874 statue of Shakespeare in Leicester Square in London (see last photo -permission of Wikimedia), Charles Dickens , Josiah Wedgewood and other prominent 19th century figures .

The Bust measures 26 inches x 21 wide x 11 deep . ( 66 x 54 x 28 cms)


In good condition with some natural weathering from outside exposure.

The Bust is photographed on a contemporary 19th C. Marble Column which is for sale separately at £1200.
