Item Description
Rare and Stunning 'Chocolatiere' - or Chocolate Warmer - which came from a 'Turn-of-the-Century' Café 'Tea Room' in Paris .
The pair of porcelain chocolate pots - with hand-painted scenes of hunters, and makers mark -(see photo)- sat in the nickel plated brass 'Bain-Marie' warmer with hidden gas burner beneath.
The chocolate warmer was one of a set of four beverage warmers/heaters from the same establishment, the other 3 pieces being a Cafétiere, (see item no.AE 344 on the site) and a Tea Maker and Milk Warmer (contact our shop for further details). All 4 pieces are currently for sale.
The Chocolate Warmer measures 15 inches high x 13 long x 6 wide (deep). The pair of chocolate pots each stand 11 inches high x 3.5 diameter, The circa date is 1880-1910
.The Cafetiere has a metal makers or shopfitters plaque 'E.RINGUET.PARIS'', The makers mark on the porcelain Chocolate Pots says 'MARTIN MANNHEIM & Cie. PARIS.
