Charming Oil Painting on canvas from France of a Young Boy holding a small Bird. in his hands. Dating from the beginning of the 19th Century. The boy is wearing a blue jacket with a lace collar.
The painting is unframed and unsigned but typical of the Napoleonic period after the revolution with the beginnings of 'Romanticism'.

In reasonable condition with some ancient restoration visible under UV light.
