From a personal collection is this unique English Inside Row Carousel Horse made by Orton & Spooner in the early 1930's for a famous carousel of its time known as 'Ashleys Gallopers' that travelled around Nottingham and the Midlands.  The beautiful horse is entirely in its original paint from the Orton & Spooner factory, 


The inside row horse named 'ZAMBO' measures  98 x 142 cms   (56 x 38 ins) and everthing is entirely original. .  Also shown are other contemporary photos of the ride .. 


I bought the horse at an auction in 1979 and it has been kept as a loved object since then, and is now being reluctantly offered for sale.  The last photo was taken by me at the sale in 1979 when half of the original horses made for the ride were sold off.
