A Large dramatic Signed Pub Advertising Mirror from the end of the 19th , beginning of the 20th Century.

With its gilded and acid-etched lettering , hand painted logo and bevelled glass edge , mirrors of this type were selling for very high prices back in the 1980's but nowadays they rarely turn up although there are certain older pubs in London that have theirs still on their walls. 

A style of pub decoration that was very typical of the 'Gin Palaces' in central London and the surrounding area  at the turn of the century.

Measures 55 x 48 inches , (122 x 140 cms)    In Excellent Condition.  Maker's signature on the gold band ( bottom right) reads 'S.TRENNER & SON. GRAYS INN ROAD'  (see photo)

The Mirror is currently in my London apartment-in London NW1
