An interesting and stylish pair of flat backed carved elmwood pediments with the relief-carved heads of the Italian Renaissance artists Raphael and Teniers.

The pair of carved 'plaques' came from an Artists' Materials shop in France where they decoratively surmounted a backfitting in the interior of the shop.

Made in France circa 1860-1900 In good condition Each 24 inches tall  (61 cms) .
