A beautiful period Backfitting Cabinet from an old 'Fromagerie' or Cheese Shop in southern France. In its old or original paint and later floral backing paper, the cabinet is shown being used for displaying small items in my shop although I am torn with taking it home to mount and use in my own kitchen.


Slightly knocked about with some wear , the antique cabinet is nevertheless in sturdy condition though with minor faults- the pine backing boards which are from a later date, are very slightly warped. The cabinet dates between 1880-1910 and measures 54 inches high x 59 wide x 13 deep (138 cms x 147 x 30).
