This late 18th-century Georgian solid oak dresser base is a stunning example of late Georgian craftsmanship, combining practical design with aesthetic appeal, and is a superb addition to any home.
The dresser base is distinguished by its rich patina and fabulous colour, which highlight the beauty and quality of the oak wood with parquetry and burr wood bandings.
The rectangular planked top with outset mouldings above four terminals, featuring three central graduated drawers with brass Georgian swan neck handles. This configuration is flanked by a pair of arched panelled doors, providing ample storage space.
Raised on stile feet, this dresser base dates back to around 1780, reflecting the Georgian period's emphasis on both form and function. Its proportions are well-balanced, making it an ideal choice for various settings such as a kitchen, pantry, or hallway. The piece is in very good, clean, and tidy condition. This charming piece of English furniture is not only a testament to superb craftsmanship but also offers significant storage capacity, making it both a practical and decorative element in any interior setting.
