A useful size to this very decorative and charming antique 19th century European rectangular large chest or box.

Retaining the original very pretty metalware and paint decoration to both the outer and inner parts.

The hinged lid opens to reveal a plain interior in pale painted grey.

The exterior of the box has a background colour of dark green, with the hand painted decor being in earthy attractive colours.

Either end can be lifted with a hand forged metal handle.
