Item Details

A tall original Bernard Rooke 1960s one piece pottery table or floor lamp, stamped and now re-wired for UK use. Of earthy terracotta and brown colouring, it almost looks to drip down the body like lava. Approx 60cm in height from base to bulb holder. The base is approx 13cm x 12cm. It is in excellent condition. Very sculptural and tactile with interesting hieroglyphic designs to the body on both back and front.

It has been paired with a Mat Watt Design retro style cylindrical lamp shade, that is available separately, but suits the lamp well and allows the Edison style bulb to shine through creating a warm tone.

Bernard Rooke was born in 1938. He is an Iconic British Studio potter and Artist, whose lamps are now highly sought after, with his taller, totem style lamps being particularly high value and coveted.
