Item Details

A simple and elegant mid 20th century pearlescent blue tinted glass ribbed floor lamp. In all original and solid condition. Re-wired with 3 lightbulb holders and shade support. It is weighty and will look fabulous with a large modern shade. Great for spaces that prefer the room to remain light looking as the design of this lamp is tall and unobtrusive, yet the colour to the glass makes it an eye catching piece.

The floor lamp is shown placed upon a c1900 oak base, carved with acanthus leaves all around the rim and with associated white marble top insert. It has its original brass castors and this item can be purchased separately. This base would likely have been used for supporting a very large ceramic vase or jar off the ground, and the castors would have allowed it to have been moved around easily. It can be viewed here.
