A very well presented 10" glass plafonnier light by Holophane. c.1915

A superb early Holophane plafonnier featuring the lesser‑seen crystal bowl, stamped Holophane to the inside rim. The bowl is set within its original cast‑brass decorative ring, retaining its gilt finish and embellished with finely cast ram heads and bow motifs - a wonderfully characterful detail of the period. Complete with hanger, chains and ceiling rose. The bowl shows some chipping to the edge as photographed, though this is concealed once seated within the ring.

A rare and highly decorative Holophane ceiling light with excellent presence and material quality.

Rewired with black twisted flex.
