This wonderful glazed Wabi Wabi pottery jar is from Shan Xi province, an ancient state of China. The area is famous for producing rich, aromatic, dark vinegar. Historically these jars were used to store prized liquids. Now, their rustic, artistic appeal with the beautiful glazed black/brown patina makes them a fantastic design element. Used for display they add boldness and contrast to a space. Circa 1800, condition good
