7 French small 19th c terracotta yellow glazed Jars - these would have been used to store food such as Jams and Patés that were grown and cooked during the summer months to provide food during the hard winter months. Utilitarian but beautiful at the same time and these days such Jars make very attractive small vases or to contain kitchen utensils, scented candles and many other purposes around a home. Circa 1880
