An exceptionally long 19th century French Pine 'Vendange' Table on attached trestle legs.


These tables were traditionally used during the wine harvest to seat the grape pickers and to celebrate the harvest. Often hand-made by the 'estate' carpenter for this purpose. Simple in design and very long to accommodate all the workers. A romantic and unique history of the wine production in France during the 18th and 19th centuries. Circa 1850.
