These have a great look, ancient and yet very contemporary.
French and around 1900, four Oyster Farming Poles, bleached by the water, usually tidal estuary salt water.
The oyster seeds were attached to the poles by lime putty which over the years, as the wood is eaten away
by the salt water, began to stand out and create these wonderful shapes surrounded by the bleached wood.
Mount on the wall or attach to a base mount for a superb folk art piece.
Three Oyster Poles are 184cm long and one Oyster Pole is 200cm.
