19th century French split plate giltwood mirror
Gilded mirror frame with bold moulding and original water gilding, heavy original mercury glass split mirror, with some age foxing to the plate, split mirrors are an original feature and were common in the 19th century. Finished with the original backboard, this is a heavy mirror, with substantial hanging hooks to the rear.
