A Spanish giltwood altar candlestick lamp
The column in hexagonal section standing on a tripod base, the surface colour and worn original water gilding gives it the most wonderful patina. Originally an altar candle stick, now wired with natural fabric flex, bayonet cap bulb holder and PAT tested.
Spain, circa 1790


Sold without the lampshade.


77cm H (to the top of the wooden stand), 90cm H (to the top of the bulb holder), 20cm W, 20cm D.


Condition: Well presented, the gilt surface is stable and not flakey.
