About the Artist.

Willy Zirges studied at the art academies in Leipzig, Munich, Milan and Berlin. At the Prussian Academy of the Arts he was a student of Max Kroner and Woldemar Friedrich. He worked in Berlin, Thuringia and Hesse painting landscapes, genre and portraits.
