Art Deco desk clock by the French manufacturer Bayard, dated 1953. This model is distinguished by its brown leather-covered case, enhanced with gilt metal and brass details, notably the hour markers, hands, and base.


 


Founded in Saint-Nicolas-d’Aliermont, Bayard became one of the leading names in 20th-century French clockmaking, renowned for its desk clocks combining elegant design with high mechanical quality.


 


This piece is fitted with an 8-day mechanical movement mounted on bronze plates, operating with 7 jewels. Manufacturer’s logo on the reverse.
