This elegant pair of pedestals signed Maison Hirsh embodies the decorative refinement of French haute décoration of the 1970s. Crafted in deep black lacquered wood and adorned with finely executed gilded decoration, it combines the rigour of neoclassical proportions with an ornamental sophistication inherited from the greatest Parisian houses.

Maison Hirsh, specialist in lacquered and gilded decoration, is part of the tradition of the great French decoration houses of the 20th century. Its creations, sometimes inspired by Chinese taste or Asian lacquers, testify to a keen craftsmanship in lacquer and gold leaf, demanding techniques mastered by few workshops.
