This fascinating set of modular candle holders is a centerpiece of West German Space Age design. Produced in the 1970s by the famous BMF and Quist manufactories (Variomaster model), these candelabras revolutionized tableware by transforming a utilitarian object into a truly interactive sculpture. While these models are already great classics of 20th-century design, this set stands out due to its gold-tone finish, which is infinitely rarer and more sought after than the usual chrome production.


 


The strength of this creation lies in its infinite modular ingenuity. Each tripod element, with its nervous, organic, and subtly brutalist lines, is designed to interlock perfectly with the others.
