Beautiful set of three vintage travertine tables, dating from circa the late 1970s–1980s.


Each table is entirely constructed from natural beige travertine, including the architectural cross-form bases. The square tops have softly rounded corners and beautifully finished edges, giving the otherwise minimalist design a softer, more refined appearance.


What makes this set particularly attractive is the variation in height. The three tables can be arranged individually as side or occasional tables, placed together as a sculptural tiered coffee-table composition, or partially overlapped to create a larger and more dynamic surface.


The natural travertine displays wonderful linear banding in warm shades of ivory, cream and beige, with the characteristic pores and subtle tonal variations inherent to the stone. The matching stone bases give the tables a strong architectural character reminiscent of Italian modernist furniture of the period.


A highly versatile vintage set with a timeless, understated look that works beautifully in Mid-Century Modern, Italian Modernist, Minimalist, Organic Modern and contemporary interiors.
