Item Details

A striking vintage Italian red granite coffee table, dating from the 1980s, with a bold architectural design and an exceptionally beautiful deep ruby-red colour.

The substantial rectangular top rests on a strong central pedestal base, creating a clean, monolithic silhouette typical of 1980s Italian Postmodern design. The minimalist form allows the extraordinary stone to take centre stage.

The rich red granite is scattered throughout with tiny silver-toned mineral flecks that catch and reflect the light, creating a subtle sparkling effect across both the tabletop and pedestal. Depending on the light and viewing angle, these inclusions appear almost jewel-like against the intense red surface.

With its strong geometric proportions, saturated colour and unusual shimmering finish, this table makes a fantastic statement piece. It would work beautifully in a Postmodern, contemporary, Space Age or eclectic interior.
