An impressive extra-large vintage square coffee table attributed to Belgo Chrom, dating from the 1970s, combining a striking architectural chrome frame with large panels of smoked glass.


With its generous 120 × 120 cm format, this is a substantial statement coffee table with the proportions and glamorous materials characteristic of high-end Belgian design of the period.


The table is constructed from a strong geometric polished chrome frame, with broad square-section profiles forming the legs and perimeter. A large smoked glass top sits neatly within the upper frame, creating a sophisticated dark reflective surface.


Below the top is a second large smoked glass shelf, providing useful display or storage space while adding visual depth to the design. The smoked glass sides and lower level contrast beautifully with the bright chrome and give the table its distinctive luxurious 1970s appearance.


The low 35 cm height and exceptionally wide square proportions make it particularly suitable for a large seating arrangement, sectional sofa or spacious contemporary living room.


A very decorative example of the glamorous Belgian Hollywood Regency / Space Age aesthetic, and a design that works equally well in a contemporary minimalist interior.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition with age-related signs of use.
The chrome shows some light surface wear, marks and patination consistent with age. The smoked glass also shows expected light signs of previous use. Overall the table presents beautifully and retains its strong, luxurious appearance.
