A well weathered late 19th or early 20th century composite stone of Bacchus, retaining most of the original paint , and with a lovely patina.
Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, known for his flowing beard of intricately curled hair and association with grapevines.
The figure is often depicted wearing an animal skin or cloak, as seen draped over his shoulder with a cluster of grapes.
