Item Details

Artist, designer and teacher, working in a variety of media, born in Essex of French and Anglo-Irish parents. . Bicât was a Royal College of Art tutor from 1966–74. He showed at RA; Redfern, Wildenstein, Leger and O’Hana Galleries; and with Sally Hunter & Patrick Seale Fine Art; also in Paris at Salon de la Jeune Sculpture and elsewhere widely overseas. Solo shows at Leicester Galleries were extensive. In 2002, Christie’s, South Kensington, offered works from Bicat’s studio. The British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Arts Council and provincial galleries hold examples.
