A rare 19th-century Danish silver plate salver, richly decorated with a repoussé hunting scene. The wide border depicts wild boar, pheasants, and rabbits in lively detail, framing a plain central field intended for carving or serving meats.
Crafted with repoussé and chasing techniques, the depth and naturalism of the animals reflect the artistry of late Victorian silverwork. Though unsigned, the design and quality are strongly linked to the workshops of Carl M. Cohr, Denmark’s foremost silver manufacturer of the period.
