A most handsome pair of Victorian cast iron garden urns, raised upon richly cast bases.


The urns are formed in the classical campana style, with bold fluted bodies and an egg-and-dart rim, their bowls ready to hold seasonal planting. Beneath, the associated bases are decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves and flowerheads, their timeworn surfaces lending a softness that sits beautifully against the urns’ slightly brighter painted finish.


Together, urns and bases create a perfectly balanced composition, full of presence and weight. Beautifully proportioned, they are designed to anchor a garden space — whether standing sentinel at an entrance, marking a pathway, or bringing grandeur to a terrace.
