A finely cast mid 20th-century garden statue of a classical maiden, shown carrying vessels of water and wine.


Made in stone composite, iron rodded with plinth. The figure is modelled in the Greco-Roman manner, with flowing drapery and a serene, contemplative expression. The composition draws on ancient symbolism: water representing purity and renewal, wine suggesting abundance and festivity — together evoking a sense of harmony and hospitality.


The surface has developed an attractive patination with light weathering throughout, lending depth and texture that enhance the statue’s character. Well-suited as a focal point in both formal and informal garden settings, the piece offers a charming classical presence.
