https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/collinge-antiquesMid 18th.c. oak open dresser base c.1750. Just 65" long, a little shorter than most dressers. Two plank top with an applied moulding to the underside. Over two large drawers flanking a shallower middle drawer. Oak drawer fronts with unusual inlaid oak crossbanding and brass knobs. Elm drawer linings. Note how the cockbeading is applied to the frame surrounding the drawers rather the drawer fronts. Shallow arch at the centre of the apron below the drawers with a deep applied moulding along the bottom edge. Raised and fielded oak panelled sides. Good turned and block front legs, straight stiles at the rear. Great rustic character with some obvious earlier repairs and restorations. Good condition, solid and sturdy, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
